Purpose of Position:
Interns and volunteers at Synthesis are overseen by the Retreat Director and Lead Facilitator ensuring interns and/or volunteers
We seek interns and volunteers that demonstrate:
Experience with altered states of consciousness and an understanding of what others in altered states of consciousness need to feel safe and supported
Highly-effective communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Professionalism: excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with people of all ages, backgrounds, etc.
Enthusiasm, charisma, creativity, humor, and individual initiative
Support/embody the mission and vision of Synthesis
Must be available for a minimum of one of these options: 7 day, 14 day, or 30 day schedule Complete an interview with volunteer coordinator and internship supervisor
Knowledgeable of basic computer software programs (Microsoft, Excel, etc.)
Complete Synthesis orientation and onboarding prior to volunteer assignment
Assist Synthesis Lead Facilitators during three-day retreats
Communicate and consult with others on the staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating
Attend leadership and team meetings as assigned
Assist in the administrative responsibilities of the overall Synthesis Retreat as assigned
This is an internship/volunteer opportunity, there is no compensation for this position.
Interns/volunteers who have committed to a 30 day internship may have the opportunity to participate in a retreat at cost, to be determined based upon availability.
