Purpose of Position

Facilitation/Co-facilitation of the Synthesis Retreat experience, ensuring all retreat participants are guided through the retreat experience safely, following protocol.

We seek an experienced candidate that demonstrates:

  • Deep understanding of leading a retreat experience

  • Personal experience with altered states of consciousness and an understanding of what others in altered states of consciousness need to feel safe and supported

  • Experience with coaching and guiding others as they go through a process of self-development, personal growth and/or spiritual awakening

  • Highly-effective judgment to make sound and responsible decisions

  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities:

    • Documentation

    • Time management

    • Attention to detail

    • Meeting attendance

    • Effective written communication skills and computer skills

  • Modeling professionalism: excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with people of all ages, backgrounds, etc.

  • The ability to be flexible, especially in regards to this positions’ work schedule, and possess a willingness to adapt to changing situations and to learn new tasks

  • The ability to solve problems and remain grounded while working under stress?

  • The ability to train, build and lead a team

  • Accredited therapeutic skills

  • Enthusiasm, charisma, creativity, humor, leadership skills, and individual initiative

  • Support/embody the mission and vision of Synthesis


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Together with Lead Facilitator ensure that retreat operations are conducted in accordance with the Synthesis mission, vision statement, applicable laws and regulations and protocol

  • Communicate and consult with others on the staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating

  • Attend leadership and team meetings

  • Assist in the administrative responsibilities of the overall Synthesis Retreat

  • Responsible for day‐to‐day supervision of the team and program schedule

  • Responsible for administration and supervision of facilitator team during retreats

  • Assist in developing and implementing new and innovative programs to promote the growth of Synthesis Retreat

  • Review staff assignments with the Retreat Director

  • Meet regularly with the Executive staff to discuss program and staff issues. Follow through as needed to resolve issues.

Employment is subject to a background check.

Ability to work long shift, sit, lift, and/or stand for long periods of time.
